Calling A Company
How many of you have ever had to call your phone company or satellite company only to have an automated service answer your call? If you haven't, consider yourself one of the lucky ones. If you have, you more than likely can understand my frustration.
Not only are automated services a pain, they have taken jobs away from the people that used to perform them. When you call, you get a voice asking you questions that you can answer or some require you to press a button. If you press the wrong button, you are stuck.
If you get the automated service that asks you questions and you must answer them with words or phrases they provide, you can't just say what you want. If they don't give you the phrase, good luck.
For instance, if you want to cancel a service, but the voice doesn't give you that option, what do you do? You start screaming, "I want to cancel the service" and hope the voice gets sick of you not answering correctly and directs you to a person.
I absolutely hate automated services. How about you? Whats your experience with automated services?
